TRIO PLEAD GUILTY.
BIRKENHEAD BURGLARIES.
A MYSTERIOUS STRANGER,
"BROKE A PANE OF CLASS."
Three young men from Birkenhead. Keville Clifford Moller i'2'i). F.dward William Keymer (21) and William .John Robinson (21) kept one another company in the dock at the Police Court, this morning. All three were charged with breaking and entering the shop of Airs. Hawkins, at Highbury Corner. Birkenhead, on .lunc 2S. and stealing cigarettes, tobacco and chocolates and 10/ in lnoncv, of a total value of £.'H) It./.
Keymer and Moller were further charged with breaking and entering the shop of W. K. Roberts. Birkenhead, and stealing cigarettes valued at £2.
I>etective-Sergeant Doyle gave evidence of the arrest, of the three accused at Birkenhead late one night recently. All three made statements admitting the offences. Witness found three sugar sacks, containing the stolen property, hidden in a loft at some stables in Birkenhead. Moller, in his statement, paid that he was with Keymer in town when they met a stranger. "We all went to Roberts' shop, where the *tranger broke a pane of glass and got the. cigarettes out. I don't know the •tranger from a bar of soap." Pleas of guilty, in each case, were entered by Mr. -T. F. W. Dickson, who appeared for the accused. All three were committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. They were allowed bail.
