AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

More sales were recorded yesterday afternoon on 'Change. Business was done in Robinson's Ice Cream shares at £1 2/6, and in Kauri Timber Company at 19/1. To-dav more Kauri Timber shares were obtainable at 19/3, but buyers dropped to 18/9. Union Oil shares firmed yesterday afternoon, sales taking place at £2 2/6. Business was done yesterday afternoon in Commercial Bank ordinary issue at £1 9/8, and in New Zealand Bank at £2 19/3, further sales of the latter line being made to-day. This morning sales took place of Bank of Australasia shares at £14 16/6, while for Union Bank of Australia shares £14 19/6 could be got.

New Zealand Insurance sold at £2 2/3 yesterday, and this morning an extra 3d was offered. South British Insurance again changed hands to-day at £3. Buyers of Pukemiro Collieries advanced to £3 5/6, and that brought in a seller at £3 12/6. Westport Stockton Coal sold at the third call yesterday at 3/4, and to-day inquiry was made for Westport Coal shares at £1 10/3. Better prices are now obtainable for shares in Burns, Philp, Ltd., buyers offering £2 5/. Checker Taxi Cab shares could be got for 12/6. but the buying quotation remains 5/. Waihi shares had business to-day at 11/10. Auckland City 5Mt per cent debentures were wanted at the noon call at £98 17/6, while Auckland 'Harbour Board, same rate of interest, were asked for art £98, with sellers quoting 10/ above pat'.
