At Bishopscourt, Hamilton, on Thursday afternoon and "At Home" was given by Bishop Cherrington and Mrs. Cherrington. The second birthday of the Lyceum Club was celebrated at Hamilton on Thursday. All the club rooms were decorated with pink cherry blossom and pale pink camellias. There was a large attendance. of members, both town and country. A splendid musical programme and a dramatic reading entertained those present. Scherer.

At the Winter Show Social Hall on Friday a presentation was made to Mrs. A. W. Green by the members of the Waikato branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union. Mrs. Duxfiekl presented Mrs. Green with a silver manicure set, silver powder bowl, and silver photo frame. The ladies present were: Mesdames Duxfield. (1. Sherley, A. Ramsey, D. Shaw, Stubbs, Feisst, Henderson, Bell, Houlden, Ouidaille, Jones, Law, Minchim, Middlemiss, Watkinson, Mclnness, T. Ramsey, Thompson, Misses Bell, Mcintosh and Elvey. An afternoon tea for Lady Cooper was enjoyed at the home of Mrs. Magnus Johnson, Claudelands, on Friday. The guests were: Mesdames A. E. Manning, F. B. Jolly, R. H. Boyd, R. G. Guy, A. R. Brown, A. W. Ward, G. Valder, A. C. Cooper, K. Alexander, Len. Swales, E. H. Hammond, E. J. Mears and P. Stewart. On Friday Mrs. H. J. McMullin, of Claudelands, gave two bridge parties in honour of Mrs. Patrick Black, of Remuera, who is the guest of Mrs. McMullin. In the afternoon the players were: Mrs. C. L. MacDiarmid, Mrs. J. D. Smith, Mrs. E. C. Brewis, Mrs. H. Ferguson, Mrs. A. Joseph, Mrs. J. F. Strang and Miss Eggleston. Those present in the evening were: Mrs. W. Gray, Mrs. A. Furze, Mrs. E. F. Peacocke, Mrs. F. B. Jolly, Mrs- E. R. Greenslade, Mrs. J. E.| Chitty, and Mrs. H. J. Greenslade. A very gay luncheon party was held at the "Wattle" Tea Rooms on Friday, when the visiting members of the Diocesan Council of the Mothers' Union were the guests of the Hamilton members. The rooms were decorated with golden mimosa and yellow jonquils. Those present were: Mesdames G. R. Barnett, Beeche, J. W. Warren, Robertson, J. H. Kyall, C. H. Holloway, M. Manning, Thornton, Kempthorne, KentJohnstone, L. B. GilfiUan, Hitchcock, R. Jones, Turner, Howlett, E. L. Harvie, Mclnness and A. Clarke.
