A violin that plays itself has been perfected by MM. Gabriel Borcau and Emile Aubry, two French engineers. The violin, it is claimed, will play anything, from the classics to modern fox trots. It is an ordinary violin, supported by a "cradle" arrangement. There is an ordinary bow with a mechanical attachment which makes it "stroke" the strings.
