RUGBY FOOTBALL.

AUCKLAND V. WAIKATO.

THE V7SITUG TEAM

The Waikato team to meet the Auck-! land representatives a* Eden Park on Saturday differs in several respects to that which sustained defeat at Hamilton on Kings Birthday. The fnil-back and wing three-quarter positions art unaltered, but J. Vosper, of > Matamata, gets his first chance in the team a» centre. Vosper is an attacking back, who made a reputation in college football about four seasons back, when he played for King's. Kemp, who has played centre for Waikato since 1925. has been put in as first five-eighths, a move considered in some circles an absolute experiment. Kay (Waipa) is a newcomer to the Waikato team. He is more of a wingforward than rover. Holmes has been brought back to the team after having been out several yeara. He is a big forward. who uses his weight well, and should improve the pack. The country forwards are expected to go better than at Hamilton, while Vosper will improve the backs' attack. Whether the rearguard will go better as a machine is problematical on account of men being played in positions to which they are not used. Of the two wingers, P. Quin is fullback for his rnb-nnloou Waipa. and M. Anderson is rover for MorrinsviUe. It is considered that Story, of Matamata, should have filled one of these positions.
