Tex Rickard, manager for Gene Tunney and promoter of the world ? s boxing championship fight, formally advised the Boxing Commission that the Tunney-Heeney fight would take place at night on July 26. The New York State Athletic Commission has given Rickard permission to hold the championship fight at the Yankee Stadium, New York, on the date stated. This provides that no forward shall -it any time have both feet off the ground. Further, any forward who drops on to one knee in an endeavour to hook the ball shall be deemed to have intentionally fallen. Referees are authorised to inflict penalties if the rule is infringed.
