AN APPEAL DISMISSED.

TRAINING OF WHITE WINGS. CONSIDERED BY DISTRICT COMMITTEE. The Onslow Stakes, a two-year-old event decided at the Auckland autumn meeting, was won by Mr. W. Scholium's filly White Wings, who beat Mr. G. A. Reid's Lucy Rose by a length. Mr. Ileid In id an objection to Mr. "Scholium getting the stake on the ground that he was not the trainer of White Wings, as tatcd in the race card. The matter was considered by the Judicial Committee of the Auckland Racing Club, and was dismissed. Mr. Reid appealed to the Auckland District Committee and yesterday the committee upheld the action of the Auckland Racing Club. The deposit was ordered to be refunded to Mr. Reid.

Owners and trainers are reminded that entries for future classics to be decided at the Auckland Racing Club's meetings close with the secretary, Mr. W. S. Spence, at 5 p.m. to-day. -

Nominations for the annual meeting of the Te Kuiti Racing Club, to be held at Ellcrslic on June 30 and July 2, close with the race secretary, Mr. W. Spence, at the office of the Auckland Racing Club at 5 p.m. to-day. i
