RED FRONT FIGHTERS.
Attack By Police In Berlin Streets. BATONS AND CARBINES. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 1 p.m.) BERLIN, May 27. A clash occurred at Charlottenbnrg in connection with the assemblage of 70,000 Communists at Berlin from nil parts of Germany in order to participate in a demonstration of the "lied Front Fighters." The police held up several thousand Red Fronters, who were marching the streets.
The marchers refused to disperse and the police used their batons and subsequently their carbines. After an officer had been unhorsed three demonstrator l ; were rounded up and others, including a policeman, were injured during the disturbance. Numerous arrests were made and the police are preparing for tomorrow's eventualities.
