THE ATHENIAN CLUB.
Another very successful evening was held by the members of the Athenian Club on Saturday at the Operatic Hall, Grafton Road. The hall was verv gaily decorated for the occasion. Some very good novelty dances were a feature of the evening, and streamers, hats, and squeakers added much to the merriment of all present. The Athenian jazz band, under the leadership of Miss Bueh, played some very fine numbers. A very
good programme was given, and the following artists contributed items: Prof. Maxwell Walker, Miss Brooks (solo dance), Miss Alma McGruer (soprano), Mr. Church (baritone), and the Snappy Three. The host and hostess for the evening were Mr. and Mrs. MiMro Emanuel, who spared no energy to make the evening the success it was.
