SHEEP DOG TRIALS.

(From Our Own Cor respondent.) IE KUITI, tliis <lay. The King Country eonirai Collie Club held its eieve.nt.il annual sheep dog trials on Aid. F. Coatcs' farm during three days ol unfavourable weather. Conditions were thus unpleasant lor competitors and spectators alike, but the meeting was in every other way a pronounced success. Credit for this is due to au enthusiastic committee. .under the direction of Mr. E. W. Larsen (president) and Mr. D. Xeal (secretary). The entries for the various events were larger than for many years. The lieading competition established a record, there being 41 dogs entered. A pieasing feature of the gathering was tlie number of outside dogs competing. The judge wus Mr. James Mills of Rangiriri. Results:--Class 1.. heading, points .">1. —S. Voyee's Maid, 4l> ; I>.
