PURCHASED MILK.
FROM UNREGISTERED DAIRY. MILKMAX FIXED £5. Prosecuted by the Agriculture Department on a charge of purchasing milk from a dairy that was not registered, Charles Logan Pye, stated at the Police Court this morning, that a woman caine to him and asked him to buy milk from her. As her place was adjacent to his. he agreed to buy milk from her. He added that he offended in ignorance of the regulations.
"It is a serious thing to buy milk from an unregistered dairy—why such milk might spread typhoid or some other disease;" said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in fining defendant £5 and costs.
