COMING EVENTS.
The Royal New Zealand Yaclit Squadron will hold an "at home" in the club rooms to-morrow afternoon.
The annual prize distribution of the Richmond Cruising Club will be held on Monday next in the Ponsonby Hall. It will take the form of a social and dance.
The Manukau Cruising Club will hold their annual prize night on. Wednesday, June 20, in the Orpheum Theatre, Onehunga. The Ponsonby Cruising Club will lender the usual smoker to vice-presi-dents and donors of trophies, in the cluuhouse on Wednesday, June 13. The Victoria Cruising Club's prize night will take place in Scot's Hall on Wednesday, July 11.
The Tamaki Yacht Club committee will tender a smoke social to members in Gray's Hall, Koliimarama, on Thursday, June 21. The ladies' committee of this club have arranged their autumn dance at Dixieland on Monday, June 11. The urgency of a police patrol of the harbour in the interests of boat owners, was mentioned at the meeting of the Auckland Yacht and Motor Boat Association on Tuesday. All delegates were firmly of the opinion that the authorities should be approached on the motion of Mr. H. G. Georjje. A letter will be sent to the Minister of Justice calling his attention to the recent thefts, and asking that steps be taken to provide a suitable launch and crew. The matter will also be brought before the local police authorities, and if this does not secure results, a general meeting of yachtsmen may be necessary.
