THROWN FROM LAUNCH.
MAN DROWNED AT FRENCH PASS.
NELSON, this day. While coming through French Pass yesterday afternoon in a motor launch, R. W. Keid, well-known in Nelson as a garage foreman, was thrown off and drowned. The launch lurched when it was caught in an eddy.
Mr. Reid's body was not recovered,
