IN THE FAR NORTH.
NOBILI at kingsbay. (Australian and X.Z. Press Association.) LONDON, May S. 1 A belated message from Kingsbay, Svalbard, says the excitement on the arrival of the airship Italia with General Nobili and his expedition on board was only comparable with that shown at the time of Captain Amundsen's disappearance three years ago. The airship had a fair voyage, but the crew were in a constant state of anxietv and had to keep ceaseless vigilance when over the ice-bound sea. The prevailing winds at Kingsbay made an immediate landing impossible, but ropes were gradually thrown out to the willing helpers until it resembled a Maypole scene. Two members of the crew were frostbitten during the landing. Th° next stage of the flight has been delayed owing to one of the? motors requiring an overhaul. °
