OR GO TO GAOL. LJ&Y MAN GIVEN CHANCE. At a quarter to twelve last night Constable Christiansen found Felix Charles Tanner (20) asleep in a Harbour Board shed in Jellicoe Street. Tanner, who was arrested on a charge of being unlawfully found upon enclosed premises, pleaded guilty when he appeared at the Police Court this morning. , Senior Sergeant ( ammings said that Tanner was a lazy man who was not fond of work. "T cannot pet work," said Tanner. "I walked right from Wellington to Auckland and could not pet any." "It's warmer up her, I think that's why these men come to Auckland,' said Mr. Cummings. "Just you get into the country and pet a iob. otherwise you will po to paol." said Mr. Hunt, who convicted Tanner and ordered him to come up for sentence within 12 months.
