TELLING THE CHILDREN.
SPEAKERS AT THE SCHOOLS.
For the . purpose of explaining the significance of Anzac Day to the younger generation the Returned Soldiers' Association arranged. for chosen - speakers to visit most of the schools in and around Auckland on Tuesday last. Schools were visited and addressed by the following:—Devonport, Captain Currey; Stanley Bay, Mr. E. Napier; Normal School, Major* O. X. Simeon; Newmarket, Mr. M. R. Reed; Bayfield, Mr. E. C. Lewis; Papatoetoe, Mr. C. S. Seward; St. HelieT's, Mr. A. G. Quartley; Beresford Street, Mr. B. Hart; Kohimarama and Msadowbank, Dr. P. O'Shannessey; New Lynn, Mr. SloCorkindale; Ponsonby, Mr. J. Park; Cornwall Park, Mr. A. C. A. Sextan; Greenhithe, Mr. Dark; Grafton, Mr. E. H. Sharpe; Massey-Birdwood and Oratia, Captain W. Potter; OtaJnihu, Mr. K. C. Jorgensen; Ellerslie, the Rev. H. K. Vickery; Northcote Junior High School, Lieut.-CoL E. EL Northcroft; Northoote primary school, the Revs. W. Gilmour and S. L Boot and Mr. R. Martin; Edendale school, Mr. T. Long.
