WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

WELLS—ELLISDON.

The wedding took place at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre at half-past six yesterday evening, of Miss Phoebe May Ellißdon, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. H. Ellisdon, of Oxford Terrace, Cheltenham, to Mr. William John Wells, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wells, of Onehunga. The Rev. Gordon Bell officiated, and Mr. Sparling was at the organ. The bride made a graceful picture in salmon pink beaded -georgette as she came down the aisle on the arm of her father. The frock was sleeveless and slightly pouched at the waist, where a silver girdle was worn, silver beads forming a handsome pattern all over the gown. Her veil of pale pink tulle was worn over the face and kept in place by a bandeau of latticed orange blossom. It fell softly over her shoulders and formed a train. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of pale pink dahlias looped with silver streamers. Miss Gladys Bevin was bridesmaid, and wore a charming down of hyacinth blue georgette heavily beaded with fringed effect. On her head was a pugaree of silver tinsel finished at the side with a tulle posy and streamers which swathed round the neck. • She carried a bouquet of cyclamen cactus dahlias. Little Joan Menzies and Mary Ellisdon, nieces of the bride, were flower girls, and wore frocks of hyacinth blue crepe de chine with knife-pleated skirts and frills of pleating round the neck. A pink posy was worn at the shoulder and rosebuds were at the jvaist. They wore tulle caps with silver wings spread at the back of the head and carried Victorian posies. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Percival Wells as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Tea Kiosk, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion in a scheme of pale pink. Mrs. Ellisdon received her guests wearing a frock of navy blue bengaline trimmed with silver, and navy felt hat to match, and carried • bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. Mrs. Wells was in navy crepe de chine and navy hat to match. She carried a contrasting bouquet of flowers.

CLAYTON—WRIGG. Christ's Church, Ellerslie, was chosen for Miss Kathleen Wrigg's wedding yesterday, when she became the wife of Mr. Joseph Clayton. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Jordan Burnside, was a dainty figure in ivory silk georgette trimmed with silver lace. The tulle veil formed th? train, and was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. A beautiful shower bouquet was carried of white and yellow roses, dahlias, and maidenhair ferns, with satin ribbons. Miss Mona Wrigg accompanied the bride, her gown being of peach silk georgette, with headdress and bouquet of rosebuds and tulle. . Mr. Jack Gordon was best man. The Rev. R. J. Stanton officiated, assisted by Mr. Isherwood. The wedding reception was held at the Ellerslie racecourse kiosk, which was prettily decorated. The bride's mother received the guests in black satin frock and coat, black and silver hat.
