In Ashburion is an imposing factory of red bi'ick, just completed and equipped with all the latest modern machinery for making sheet glass. The glass expert recently arrived from Europe expresses the frank opinion that the Southern Cross Glass Co.' (of N.Z.), Ltd., is bound to meet with phenomenal success. According to the prospectus the company's capital is £250,000 in £1 shares. Of this amount 75,000 £1 shares are now offered to the public at 5/ on application and 5/ on allotment, but not less than 20 shares will be allotted in any one parcel. Early application is advisable.
