YOUTH SENT TO PRXSOH. SERIES OF FRAUDS DISCLOSED. | Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. Norman Finlayson McMillan, aged 21, a woolclasser, pleaded guilty to-day to a charge of having failed to comply with the terms of his release on probation. It was stated that he was admitted to probation at Auckland in 1926 for three years for false pretences, and that since that time he had neglected to report regularly. He had incurred two hotel bills in Wellington and left without paying them. He had negotiated for the purchase of a motor car and had led a land agent to believe he was buying a farm. Further, he had enpged a married woman with three children to act as his housekeeper on the farm, and it was not until she arranged her affairs that she discovered she haul been hoaxed. He appeared to be living on other people. In remarking that McMillan had had his chance, Mr. Page, S.M., imposed a sentence of three months' imprisonment.
