POPPY DAY APPEAL.
AMOUNT REACHES £1800.

"Our association is deeply grateful to all, the response was overwhelming, and it shows that we have the sympathy and confidence of the people of Auckland." This is a statement made on behalf of the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association in acknowledging the practical support given to Poppy Day appeal. The amount has now reached the £1800 mark, and one return has yet to comc in.
The association asks the Auckland public to continue sympathy in a practical manner by remembering ex-soldiers when they have employment to offer. The association intends to open a new employment register, and trusts to receive many applications for men.
