Bill thrue a rocket at me an' I jumped back on to sum barb wire. Barn is busy diggin* a pla**»to hide the ole man's boots. Barn wore them up the creek yesterday an* they sean to have shrivelled np. They wos his best pare too. Tt*a funnv how leather shrinks—it shows it must be reel leather cos I've heard of hides shrinkin'. fle ony had them on a couple of ours too. Worter has grate destrnctin' powers. They wos very sodgey lookin' wen we cum home Barn put them in the oven a wile to dry. The result wos disarsterous to say the least of it.
