THEFT ALLEGED.

BY AUCTIONEERS' CASHIER „ OVER £700 INVOLVED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Charged with the theft of £767 3/4 from hie employers, Joseph Henry Pike, clerk to Scott and Menzies, auctioneers, was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.

The alleged thefts were committed between November 11, 1926, and January 27, 1928, when accused was cashier. Bail was fixed at £300, with two sureties of £150 each.
