MOUNT EDEN.
SCHEME BEING PREPARED
Steps are being taken to prepare a report upon the proposal for a pa on the northern slopes of Mount Eden. A secondary peak, somewhat below the summit, is regarded as the best site available, and to-morrow a visit of inspection will be made by Mr. Paora Chamberlain, a Maori engineer, accompanied by Mr. George Graham, a representative of the Te Akarana Maori Association.
The association proposes to put a scheme before the Mount Eden Borough Council and has secured the services of Mr. Chamberlain in connection with the engineering details. Mr. Chamberlain is an English graduate and will report to the asosciation.
