DUNEDIN CLUB DANCE.
The Dunedin Club rooms presented a gay scene last evening, when the first social gathering for the year was held. Lines of bright streamers formed a network of colour overhead, and bowls of crimson flowers made effective decoration. Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., president, •in welcoming both old and new members, emphasised the spirit of friendliness which prevailed in the club. Mrs. K. Raymond, who was hostess for the evening, received the guestg wearing a frock of draped blue and gold brocaded satin, with floral spray at hip. Amongst those present were: Mrs. E. C. Cutten, wearing hyacinth blue georgette, beaded in crystal; Mrs. E. C. Johnson, mauve georgette with skirt of gold lace; Mrs. Balmer, royal blue brocaded satin; Mrs. McQormick, blue beaded georgette; Mrs. B. Hooper, black satin and gold lame; Mrs. Munro Clarke, pale blue lace with black hem; Mrs. Mitchell, black lace over pink; Mrs. McCredie, black georgette and satin; Mrs. Scott, black satin frock; Mrs. Howard Gaudin, powder blue crepe de chine; Mrs. Hamilton, black georgette beaded in black and silver; Mrs. M, K. Scott, apricot satin; Mrs. W, H. Faulkner, black lace with touches of pale green; Mrs. A. Long, black lace frock; Mrs. Hadftpld, black georgette; Mrs, Hastings, flame georgette with hem of black; Mrs. P. B. Ross, emerald green beaded georgette; Mrs. R. Reed, «cru lace over pale pink; Mrs. C. Hughes, black lace over pale pink; Mrs. G. W nox, lemon-coloured georgette and gold sequins; Miss D. Farquhar, wine sa£ red georgette; Miss R. McGruer, black georgette beaded in silver; Miss L. McGruer, black beaded georgette, with roses at hem; Miss Campbell, lemon and mauve satin; Miss M. Meek, lace over cyclamen pink georgette; Miss R. Murdoch, ivory georgette embroidered in gold; Miss Henderson Marr, rope beaded satin; Miss Emerson, black satin and lace; Mjss JSiedeberg, pale green and gold lame; Miss McConnell, cinnamon georgette trimmed with Oriental lame; Miss E. burgundy-coloured crepe de eftine; Miss K.
