IN OTHER WORLDS.
THE PROBLEM OF LIFE. (Received 12 noon.) NEW YORK, March 29. In an impressive address before the students of the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Henry Norris Russell, of the University of Princeton, a worldfamous astronomer, said: "Life probably exists on the planet Mars and may extend to hundreds and even thousands of other worlds on which living beings have probably reached a stage in their development billions of years in advance of ufe. "Mathematical chance makes it possible that Of the unknown worlds thousands —and perhaps millions—of planets which may revolve about a million known stars support life." —(Sydney "Sun.")
