CAPSIZE OF LORRY.

FATAL RAZOBBACK ACCIDEKT CONCLUSION OF INQUEST. The inquest concerning the death of Annie M. Oemcke, a married woman, belonging to Hawke's Bay, who received fatal injuries through the c&psinng of a motor lorry on the new deviation about half-way between Pokeno and Bombay on February 27, was concluded before the coroner, Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., yesterday afternoon, when a verdict of accidental death was returned.

Deceased and her husband had been spending a holiday in Auckland and were returning home. Mr. Oemcke was driving the vehicle, the back wheel of which skidded on the hard greasy clay surface of the road vrhile taking a bend. Mr. Oemcke tried to straighten the lorry up, but it shot into a bank on the righthand side, with the result that it turned over.

A motorist, who picked the deceased up and took her to the Pukekohe Hospital, stated that his car skidded at apparently the same point as the lorry. Mrs. Oemcke was brought by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, where death occurred on March 9.
