RUGBY FOOTBALL.
NORTH SHORE CLUB. At the annual meeting of the North Shore Club Captain Redmond presided over a large attendance.' The balance-sheet showed that the clnb ended last season with a credit balance of £12, and had assets valued at £826. On the field the club had performed well in the. lower grades, the seventh grade winning the Bert Marshall Cap and the Napier Memorial Shield. Slackness in training militated against the success of the seniors. Socially the clnb season bad been successful, and much credit was doe to the committee for their nntlring efforts to keep the financial position sound, and to the Coach, Captain Gillespie; i The following officers were elected Patron, Mr. R. T. Michaels; president, Mr. G. M. Reid; vice-presidents, the Mayor (Mr. E. Aldrldge), Messrs. Thoa. Mackay, M. Benjamin, P. Walsh, C. M. Littlejohn, J. P. Kalaugher, W. Hales, A. Gold water, P. J. Sbeehan, J. Gerrard, R. G. Broughton, G. B. Beere. G. Fairgray, A. Waters, W. R. Vcrcoe, H. Bruce, M. MOntelth, and Esmond Napier, Drs. Bennett, De Clive Lowe, Rout, Wheeler, and Bade, and Captains Gillespie and Wainhouse; club captain, Mr. W. Elwarth; hon. secretary, Mr. W. B. O'Brien; hon. treasurer, Mr. G. B. Beere; management committee, Messrs. Sinclair, Fairgray, Jackson, McDonald, Oram, Broughton, Baxter, $nd secretary and treasurer and club captain: delegates to A.8.U., Messrs. Oram, Jackson, and Elwarth (J.A.8.), and Captain Redmond; hon. surgeons, Drs. Bennett, Bade, and De Clive Lowe; hon. solicitor, Mr. R. G. Stokes; hon. auditor, Mr. W. Walsh.
Several new members were elected. The club will hold Its first field practice on Saturday.
