LTTKKARY AND SOCIAL CLUB

PUKEKOHE, Wednesday. The annual meeting of the Pukekohe Literary and Social Club was held on Monday evening Mr. A. Schlaeffer presiding over an attendance of 80 members.
The following officers were appointed:— Patron, Captain O. DittineT", president. Lieutenant E. O. Moncrief; vice-presi-dents, Mr«. A. C. Gill, Dr. A. T. Begg, C. K. Lawne, F. Perkins, H. J. G. Allen, R. G. May, aud A. Schlaeffer; committee. Mesdanies P. Mincher, A. C. Scoon, Mia** l - Hichardeon, B. Pairlie, Messrs. D. Fa l ' K. Lakeman, J. W. Petersen and A. Gill, jun.; hon joint secretaries, Mcw»rs. F. W. Stembridge and R. Sarah; auditor, Mr. D. R. Hamilton. The season opens on May 5.
