MILITARY CAMPS.
ALLEGED BAB INFLUENCE.
HOME TRAINING IMPORTANT.
(Prom Our Own Correspondent.)
CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday
The question whether military camps had a bad effect on the lives of the young men and boys who went into them was discussed at the Y.M.CA. national convention to-day. Mr. Chappell, military secretary at Trentham, emphasised the point that the boys were in camp for only seven days out of 365, and that if they did break down in morale or conduct, it was very largely owing to the lack of home influence during the remaining days of the year.
This statement was endorsed by several other speakers.
