CHAMPION PAIRS TOURNEY.

INTER-SECTION RESULTS.

Inter-section games in fche champion pairs tournament of the Auckland Centre were continued on the Mount Eden green yesterday afternoon. Second and third round results were as follow:—

Second Round.—Jones 22, v. Hopwood 15; Bremner 18, v. Best 16; Pearce 20, v. Ryan 18; Turner 25, v. Gardiner 15; Has lain 19, v. Hosking 18.

Third Round.—Jones 23, v. Bremner 21; Pearce 23, v. Turner 16; Haslam 22, v. Hopwood 19; Ryan 23, v. Best 10.

In the third round there were only two two-lifers left, Jones and Bremner, and they had a very even game, which resulted in a tie. Jones won the extra head, and became the only two-lifer left.

PUBLIC SERVICE TOURNEY,

The final of the Public Service tournament was to have been played on the Epsom green this afternoon, but owing to the fact that W. J. Johnson, of the Lands and Survey team, is in the final of the Auckland Bowling Centre's champion pairs tourney, it has been postponed until to-morrow afternoon. Johnson and Jones (Stanley) got the bye this morning, and as they are twolifers, they will necessarily have to play two rounds this afternoon.
