THE WATERSIDE UNION.

I wish to make a few remarks concerning the above. It has been repeatedlv admitted there are too many workers seeking admittance to the union. Mr. Mcßrine truthfully * stated such was a fact, but he did not state bow many members of the union are paying ; ~-m C tex. There are quite a large number contributing payments thereto, proving conclusively ther are making more than a living. Mr. Mcßrine shows us the worst phase of the question. Why does he not show the other side! I say throw the union wide open to the world and let every man have an equal chance, and those who are unsuitable do not pick for the next job. You will then get a good and efficient body of workers. JJ3.
