(Sent in by Vera Norton, Mount Eden.)
What is the difference between a boy with no money and a pillow ? —One is hard up and the other is soft down. Why is a billposter very loyal?—He sticks up for his master. Why are watches like grasshoppers!— Because they both move by springs. Why is a railway guide like life? —It contains many "ups" and "downs." What is everyone doing at the same time? —Growing older. Why is a spider a good correspondent? —He drops a line at every poet.
(Sent ia by Nellie Morgran, Papatoetoe.) What two letters in the alphabet are most destructive? —D K (decay). Why is the letter "G" like the sun?— Became it is the centre of light.
