MOTORIST ON TRIAL.

The trial was recommenced to-day of Raymond Gifford on a charge of so negligently driving his car as to eaii-e the death of Leslie Spencer. Judge lilair told the jury if they found negligence on the basis of fifty-fifty then they must acquit the prisoner,
