In the second bout Dave Palmer (Australia), lOst 31b. knocked out Hughes (Dunedin), lOst 21b, in the.sixth round. Excellent form was shown in the three amateiir bouts, the best of the evening being the contest between Hutchinson (Hastings), Bst 41b, and Rodenique (Gisborne), Ost, the former gaining the decision. \ •' •
