SLOW GOING.

MOTORISTS AND PLATES. ONLY 3300 REGISTER DURING FEBRUARY. Only 3300 motor vehicle owners have reMcensed in Auckland in February, and that, according to the registration officials, is slow going. There will have to be a steady flow all through March to get 'the 15,000 cars re-registered before .the end of the period. At stage there are still between 12,000 and 13,000 cars to be relicensed. , Plates cannot be put on the cars until Manty 24, but if owners carry the old discs on their cars after April 1 they will be prosecuted. Many motorists will not register at present because they take the view that it is useless to buy plates until they can put them' on the cars.
