DISASTROUS BLAZE.
£500,000 FIRE AT CAPETOWN.
CAPETOWN, February 12.
A disastrous fire, which eau- damage estimated at £500,000, destroyed the greater part of the Imperial Cold Storage Company's premises on the seafront. Butter, margarine and bacon fed the flames, and the firemen battled with ammonia fumes. Fortunately the ammonia was disconnected in the early stages of the fire, and the spare tubes were removed to the . adjoining new buildings,- which were not affected. The company says it will restart operations on Monday.
