The Auckland Union of the Christian Endeavour held its first council meeting this year in the Beresford Street Congregational Hall. The Rev. A. S. Wilson, president of the union, presided until 8.30, when he left to attend a welcome meeting to Mr. and Mrs. Fear, the chair then being taken by Mr. G. Densem, a vice-president. Reportj were given by the delegates of the societies and the treasurer (Mr. McSkimming). Mr. H. Bristow, senior superintendent, reported having paid visits to two societies during the month, and Mr. W. Cullen, assistant 6enior superintendent, to Milford Baptist Senior Society. Resignation was received with regret from Mr. O. Liddell. junior superintendent, who will most likely be out of Auckland this year. The annual picnic of the union was discussed. It was decided to hold the picnic this year at Henderson Domain on Saturday, March 10, all arrangements being left to Mr. Densem and his committee. Mr. Noel Carless, literature secretary, stressed the point that the societies should take the literature and know more about the work of the C.E. movement. Advice was received that a union had been inaugurated in Invercargill, to which the Auckland Union sent greetings.
