GOLF.
' N.Z. COUNCIL MEETING,
At the monthly meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council on Monday. it was resolved to remind the professionals that entries for the professionals' autumn tournament at Timaru close with the secretary of the Timaru Golf Club on 11th Instant. It was resolved to renew John Lambie's engagement with the New Zealand Association for a further period of twelve months from the Ist March next.
The New Plymouth Golf Club advised that the dates of their Easter Tournament were April 7, 9 and 10. and tlie Hastings Golf Club wrote advising thnt the dates for their annual touruament were June 2 4 and 5.
Major Conway, who has been transferred to the Taranaki district, wrote resigning his seat on the council, and it was resolved that his resignation be recorded with regret, and that a letter be sent thanking him for his valued services. The vacancy on the council was filled by the election of Mr. M |J. Crombie.
