TWIN BABY KILLED.

IN MOTHER'S BRIEF ABSENCE.

HEAD CAUGHT IN COT

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

MORRINSVILLE, this day.

The twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Scott, of Tatuanui, met her death last evening. The mother left the twins, eight months old, in a cot with a movable side. A small opening was blocked with pillows. In the child's movement the pillows were dislodged, and when the mother returned after a few minutes she found one of the children dead, with her head between the bed and the side of the cot.

This is the second accident which has occurred recently in the district under similar circumstances.
