AVERAGE WAGE 24/ PER WEEK
The Hon. H. M. Pollock, the Northern Ireland Minister of Finance, states that, while the average Belfast linen operative earns 24/ for a 48-hour week, the same class of worker in Belgium and Czechoslovakia receives only 14/8 for a 50 to 52-hour week.
