AUCKLAND FELLOWSHIP'S WREATH. NEW ZEALAND BOWLERS MISSION. , Included among the thirty official Zealand bowlers who will leave Wellington by the Ulimaroa on Friday next rn route for England is Mr. W. E. Arev, the well-known Auckland bowler. Mr! Arey has been a member of the London Dickens Fellowship for the last twenty vears. Two years ago he was instrumental in the formation of the branch of the fellowship in Auckland and was subsequently made a vice-president. At the last session the committee decided that the Auckland branch of the fellowship should send a wreath to be placed on Dickens' grave in Westminster Abbev. All members of the fellowship subscribed towards this object, and Mr. Arey was entrusted to purchase the* wreath and place it in position, when the occasion will be celebrated by a reunion at the tomb. Mr. Arey is* the bearer of several letters to various Dickens societies in Great Britain and will convey official greetings from the Auckland body. Discussing the tour of the New Zealand bowlers incidentally Mr. Arey stated that it must be distinctly understood that although the New Zealand bowling party would consist of from forty to fifty members only thirty would lie in the official bowling partv. The remainder would be friends and wives, who would accompany them to England. The Auckland members will proceed to Wellington by to-morrow night's Limited express and will be given a send-off by Auckland bowlers at the railway station. On Thursday morning the official bowling party would be given a civic farewell in the Town Hall. lington, and during the afternoon would be entertained by members of the Wellington Bowling Centre. gg -S3?-
