Queensland Gets Lead Over Victoria. PLAY IN FINAL MATCH. BBISBANF, February R. In the final Sheffield Shield cricket match, Victoria v. ( t 'ueen.-land. the home side to-day increased their lirst innings score from ISO run< for two wickets to 3X4 for nine. Kuwe made 134, Oxenham <>•> and O'Connor 54. Heavy lain overnight had made the outlield heavy and dead, but had not affected the wicket as it. had been covered. Shortly after play commenced a heavy shower caused a cessation and the wicket was again covered. Several heavy showers ill the afternoon caused further delay. The Queensland batsmen played carefully. O'Connor and Oxenhani by means of cautious play slowly increased the score. Kowe. after a slow beginning, hit out and quickly increased the total until the failing light catiscd the cessation of play for the day.
