BOWLING

PARTY FOR ENGLAND. A I'CKLANDEILS LEAVE TO-NIGIIT. Sixteen Auckland bowlers leave by the express to-night or Wellington 011 'their way to England. The English Bowling Association forwarded an invitation for New Zealand trundlers to visit Britain this year. Thirty have accepted the invitation. of whom sixteen are from Auckland. They meet at Wellington on Friday and leave by the Llimaroa for Sydney, where they take passage on the lSth by the Orvieto for Europe. Some of the bowlers will be accompanied bv wives and daughters. The journey is to be broken at Toulon to enable* the party to tour Italy, Switzerland and I lance, reaching England 011 April 20.

ROTORUA TOURNAMENT.

WALKER'S DAY OFF. (By Telegi aph Owu Correspondent.) ROiORLA, Monday. Hie bowling tournament was continued this afternoon when play was carried to the third round of Section E. The greens were a bit stiff at the start, but with the hot sunshine thev soon improved. Maxwell Walker appeared to be off his play, losing three games. Leatham (Ponsonby) at fine stage of his game against Urc (West End) was 24 to nil. Smytheman (Papatoe toe) tied on the twenty-first end with MacPherson (Rawliiti) and won bv- a single on the twenty-second. Details of the play are as follow:— SECTIO.V A. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHAXGAREI, Monday. The Saturday section of the full rinks competition is nearing an end, and two games to he played by McKenzie will reveal the finalists. The position of the skips is as follows :—Cutforth, 4 wins 3 losses; Donaldson. 5 wins 2 losses; Gribble, 1 win 7 losses; Harrison, .'•> wins 4 losses: Judd, :j wins 3 losses; McKenzie, 4 wiDs 1 loss; Stone 5 wins 2 losses; Walker. 1 win 5 losses. The winner of this section will meet the winner of the game between Almao and Allan, who have to play off to decide the Thursday section.

HIKURANGI BEAT KENSINGTON.

WHA NG A REI, Monday. On Saturday two full-rink teams from thn Kensington Howling Club visited Hikurangi in quest of the Swann Cup.
