AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE. Sales were made of P. and O. deferred stock to-day at £242, and buyers of Hud-dart-Parker Steam advanced their offers to 50/9. Northern Steam shares sold at 14/9, and rights to the Commercial Bank new issue changed hands at 7/. Another sale was made of South British insurance > shares at 57/0, and for Standard Insurance buyers advanced their offers to 63/, without . a seller quoting. Tonson Garlick shares firmed a little, sellers at 11/3 being ; replaced by buyers at 10/9, and the selling , figure was advanced to 12/6. Taranaki Oil shares changed hands at 10/, and for New Zealand Bank, 59/ was again paid. Hikurangi Coal ordinary issue had sales at 4/ yesterday afternoon, and buyers of A preference, advanced their offers to 6/6. Waihi shares were sold at 10/10 at the noon call, and Ohinemuri Mines were placed at 7/. Mount Eden Borough debentures arc wanted, £102 being offered for the 6 per cent, and par for the 5% per cent issue. BUSINESS DONE. AT THE 3.15 P.M.
