It is three times as dangerous for <i London child to be out on the streets as i it is for children in the rest of the J "ountry. This point is brought out in! he London County Council's report on lucation for 1926. Calling attention to the number of a flic accidents to children as "the most 'plorable feature of any statistical rend for the year," the report says in the letropolitan police area of London dur;ig 1926 a total of 9761 children were <illed or injured. For the first nine months of the present year,. according to police returns, fatal traffic accidents to children totalled 'Aggi-jg agaiftst 333 ig 1926. . . ." «
