SKULL DISCOVERED.

EMBEDDED IN LIMESTONE. A YOUNG EUROPEAN. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE, this *day. A skull, believed to be that of a European aged from 10 to 18 years, was discovered by Messrs. Arrow and Garmonsway at Rangiwaea, near Taihape, on Thursday. The skull was found embedded in limestone on a ledge within 10 feet of the bed of a creek, long since dry. The Taihape police made investigations, but 110 other bones were found. Expert opinion as to the nationality of the skull was obtained by the police, but they could not determine the sex of the person. A further search for other relic-: will be made in the Rangiwaea locality in the near future.
