NEW YORK, Februarv 3. A me«?apß from Fall Hirer, Massarusetts, says five blocks of buildings in the city have been swept by fire.

Twcntv-five buildings, which included many business structures, were destroved.

The damage is estimated at £7.000,000. (A. and N.Z. and Sydney '"Sun.")

Fall River is the port of entry for Massachusetts, and the harbour admits vessels of the largest class. It is one of the most important and most rapidlygrowing centres of the eotton-manufactur-ine industry in the United States. Besides cotton mills, there are large establishments for dyeing and finishing tjxtiles, and foundry and machine shops.
