In the Senate, the Commerce Committee -began the hearings of the Jones resolution to prevent the U.S. Shipping Board sale of the Ameriean-Australin, Orient ancl other lines, which were scheduled for February 2. Mr. Ben Grosscup, representing the Puget Sound businessmen, said that his clients wish to be enabled to buy a single line and not all three as the board advocates.
