TERRIFIC BATTLE.
BLOODY FAMILY FEUD.
NINE LEFT FATHERLESS.
Four brothers were shot dead, another was left dying, nine children and a mother left without support and the aged parents near collapse from shock, as the bloody climax of a family feud on a ranch in Washington State, America. Apparently insane after months of brooding, Albert Villard, 50, walked into his father's ranch house and shot to death three of his brothers in a terrific battle.
Turning the gun on the fourth brother and probably fatally wounding him, Villard walked from the house, drove his car to the highway, where he committed suicide by hanging himself from the machine and shooting himself.
The brothers were killed while their aged parents stood helpless. Albert Villard, the killer-suicide, has left a stricken family of nine children and a wife. The aged parents are Mr. and Mrs. August Villard, the former 76 years old. The family was wealthy and one of the best known in Tulare County.
