mile working on the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Middlesex at the Prince's wharf last evening, Mr. W. Turner, a single man, aged 46, who resides at No. 46, Union Street, had the fingers of one hand jammed between two boxes of butter. One finger was burst open. The injured man was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. After several stitches had been inserted and the hand dressed Mr. | Turner was able to return to his home.
